Greetings!

Berkeley Montessori High, Inc. (BMHI) still remains on blended learning modality for the whole school year of 2022-2023.

Private schools have been given the option to continue to deploy blended learning modalities, a combination of face-to-face and distance learning, for the rest of the 2022-2023 school year, the Department of Education (DepEd) said. Executive Order issued on Monday.

Pursuant to Department of Education (DO) No. 44, Series of 2022, signed by Vice President and Secretary of Education Sarah Duterte, private schools will continue to offer either five-day face-to-face classes, mixed learning modalities, or fully online classes starting on November 11.

If a private institution chooses the blended learning method, it can mandate three days of face-to-face tuition and two days of distance learning through modular, online, or television, or radio-based tuition.

They only get to choose 1 and submit a plan or a document on which online modality they will use. However, the school is not allowed to make changes to its modality according to the written document of the school that is approved by the DepEd regional office during the academic year.

During our 2nd quarter PTC, we conducted a survey of our parents and guardians on which modality works best for them. The majority voted in favor of Blended Learning. So Berkeley decided to remain on the safer side which is the Blended Learning Modality

what are the benefits of blended learning?

  1. Flexible

  2. Minimizes the risk of getting a COVID-19 outbreak inside the campus
